Klipsch-Card Athletic Facilities, LLC was officially established in 2015, though its co-presidents began collaborating several years earlier. Mike Klipsch and Andy Card are the inspiration and energy behind a number of highly-regarded and successful athletic facilities. They bring their unique talent, leadership, and resources to communities seeking an effective partnership for unparalleled athletic, tourist, and economic development impacts. Their first success with state-of-the-game athletic facilities is the Jonathan Byrd's Fieldhouse at Grand Park, located in Westfield, IN. Other facilities and community conversations are under development and will be announced soon.
Mr. Klipsch held a wide variety of executive positions with Klipsch Group, a family owned and operated holding company for a wide variety of consumer electronic brands; including most notably the Klipsch brand known for its legacy of excellence.
Over a 20-year period, Mike lead the company as president, chief operating officer and chief counsel. Beyond his role of managing all legal affairs, strategic partnerships and manufacturing, Klipsch created a global supply chain capability to manage sourcing and sales to more than 40 countries. Klipsch also led the launch of the Klipsch brand into the headphone market to position the company as one of today’s leading headphone manufacturers.
After selling Klipsch Group in 2011 to a public company, Mike departed the company in late 2015 to pursue new entrepreneurial opportunities including co-founding Klipsch-Card Athletic Facilities, LLC.
Mike Klipsch is actively involved in his community, serving on the Purdue University Board of Trustees, Vice-Chairman of the IUPUI Board of Advisors, and the American Cancer Society Council of Ambassadors, he also volunteers in organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, Junior Achievement, and Carmel Dad’s Club in Carmel, Indiana.
A Purdue University alumnus, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management in 1985. He also holds a JD (law degree) with honors from Indiana University.
Recognized as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2006 in Logistics & Transportation, Mr. Card has long been a visionary. He was a fourth-generation owner of Perkins Global Logistics and he successfully managed to increase the company’s revenues from $7 million to $72 million—all in his first 12 years as CEO. From there, Andy has gone on to pursue several highly-profitable entrepreneurial ventures in real estate, food services, and entertainment.
Andy also designed, developed, and built Grand Park Fieldhouse, dba Johnathan Byrd's Fieldhouse, LLC. Andy’s love of sports and passion for all things business help give his clients an edge as they develop and build their new athletic facilities.
